About the Foundation

Incorporated in California in 1985, the Family University Foundation continues to serve its founding purpose of strengthening families by educating fathers, mothers and children, single, step, and grandparents in the timeless principles of healthy family life and provides practical training and resources in the skills which support healthy relationships and family success.


  • Our History
    The Family Development Foundation was founded and incorporated in California in 1985 by Paul Lewis. It was subsequently granted non-profit status by the Internal Revenue Service and continues as a recognized 501(c)(3) organization. In 1997 the name was changed to Family University Foundation.
  • BOard of directors
    The Foundation's officers and directors and advisors have broad professional experience in the areas of Social Services, Education, Counseling, Business, Marketing, Print and Web Communications, Curriculum Development, Publishing and the Faith Community.
